Project // Walkin' Through the Reality
The project "Walkin' Through the Reality" concerns a series of ten shots taken in the streets of different cities around the world then printed on wood (size 70 x 100). Each picture is taken to grasp the frame of meaningful moments in those places as to return graphically the emotion and\ or feeling which arouses inside the "frozen" reality of the camera. Such a reality is developped by using black and white, lights, dyes and grains inspired by film art.
Pictorial variations have been applied to the pictures using different materials and techiques: they aim to express the search and the urge to discover and show, as if in a fourth dimension, the alternative universe that lies within the human feelings. When carrying visuals from different parts of the worlds, we reflect on the thin line betwen physics and metaphysiscs that links substance and forms to the modern existance anywhere in the globe.
The observer is thus invited to perceive feelings by addressing one's senses without boundaries into each and any of the locations that is pictured : the initial feeling is the road to walk.
The authors' target, and therefore the observers', is to give breath through these " painted photos" to a meeting between reportage photojournalism -that is the photo as pure as it gets- and the picture aiming to the metaphysical. What results is a marriage that energically sets move to the first human pulse towards a thought that origins and grows autonomous.
Every sensation leads to hope.
